The Clever Box company, based in Dublin, was born out of a response to children’s appetite for creative and imaginative play things. One of the founders, Elaine McCabe, saw how much her enjoyed playing with large cardboard boxes but she was unable to keep up a supply – there are only so many washing machines one can buy!! Inspired by the concept, Elaine and her brother (both architects) developed the Clever Box as a creative toy product suitable for children aged 3+. The boxes come in different shapes, sizes and patterns and are easy to cut and manipulate. With the pack contents and ideas and instructions booklet, they can be formed into toys of their choice, i.e. house, castle, car, train, fort, puppet theatre, boat, playhouse - whatever the child’s imagination conceives.
