Hi, my name is Eithna Joyce. I am an artist living in the west of Ireland. My paintings are inspired by the contrasting landscapes in my life: the north Galway farm where I live and Connemara where I was born. I start by drawing with ink directly onto the canvas and then, by both layering up and stripping back, my landscapes emerge; a mixture of reality and memory. They are quiet, calm, delicate paintings that are as much about what is left out as what is revealed.
