Aisling Ahern Millinery
Aisling Ahern is a young, enthusiastic emerging milliner. Aisling studied architecture in University College Dublin whilst also attending fashion design courses in the Grafton Academy, Dublin where she furthered her knowledge of design and materiality. After attaining her first architecture degree, she spent a year in New York where she worked fashion designer Daryl Kerrigan. Arising from her studies and experiences in both fields came a flair for millinery, the perfect fusion of architecture and fashion design. She draws her influence not only from these areas but also from her interest in the visual arts. Aisling enjoys experimenting with non conventional millinery materials which give her pieces that added edge. Her style combines a structural foundation with clean lines and bold, exotic colours to add some extra drama. Combining her own edge with the clients character and taste results in pieces of art as headwear with a unique and striking form. Aisling now works from her studio in Boyle, Co.Roscommon where customers are welcome to come and try on the many beautiful pieces.
